Fruit purée pasteurization

Heating, cooling and of food products (e.g. fruit purée, jams, baby food) with particulates or fibres, is, traditionally done in tubular heat exchangers.
The new WideGap Hygienic heat exchanger plates have a novel design, able to easily handle large particles and long fibres.
This allows a more efficient use of energy, due to capability for direct heat recovery and lower pumping requirements.
In terms of size, the HL8-WG offers one third smaller footprint compared with a similar duty tubular heat exchanger.
